Looking for youth lacrosse, but not travel?
Peterborough Recreation Department will be offering practices and scrimmages in small-sided groups on the fields at Adams Park. Participants will be working on developing fundamental skills through a variety of drills to improve their game. On weekends there will be a warm-up and then we will run small-sided, fast paced scrimmages. This program will provide an opportunity for kids to practice, socialize in a safe environment, and have fun in the process. This is a program that should work well for both new players as well as experienced players needing to hone their fundamentals and prepare for middle school or high school lacrosse. We will make teams that will practice together and then scrimmage each other if we have enough players.
This program is being offered for 6U (Scoopers), 8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U. Registration is open to both boys and girls and we will separate them.
The necessary equipment would be a lacrosse stick, mouth guard, water bottle, and eye protection for girls. Boys must be fully-equipped. Goalie gear not required.
Please consider coaching your child's team, as we will need coaches. Coaches will receive one child's registration free.
